A few national soccer fans are as passionate about soccer (as the Americans call it) as American supporters. They even purchased the most number of tickets for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, after only Russia, who hosted the event.
This passion was also exhibited at America’s 2014 World Cup entry, where, despite losing to Belgium, the whole world saw the intact American spirit, embodying the renowned American Dream. In October 2022, the United States men’s national team ranked 16th in the FIFA men’s ranking, a better placement than 27th in 2014. They backed out of the 2022 FIFA World Cup after losing to the Netherlands.
