Odd Yet Magical Amusement Park Photos to Brighten Your Day
A Well-Placed Sweater
The Mickey Mouse sweater, on its own, is unremarkable. However, when worn creatively, it can become a talking point. Just look at this woman who cleverly positioned the character’s head to appear as if it was missing!
‘Mickey Mouse’ has a rich history that spans nearly a century. Did you know he said his first word, “Hotdog,” in the 1929 short “The Karnival Kid?” Before that, he only screamed and made sounds. This marked the first time the character uttered a complete word. Interestingly, Walt Disney came up with the idea for ‘Mickey Mouse’ after losing the rights to ‘Oswald the Lucky Rabbit’ following a dispute with his partner.
At Least Dad’s Having a Good Time
A father recently made his son’s dream a reality by taking him to a theme park to ride a rollercoaster. The little boy wanted to prove he was a big boy, but it seems the first drop quickly changed his mind about growing up too fast.
It’s not uncommon for people to develop a fear of rollercoasters after a particularly scary experience. This may be because rollercoasters are specifically designed to stimulate the fear center of our brains. In fact, studies show the sensation of fear we experience on a rollercoaster is similar to what we feel when visiting a haunted house.
Not What We Signed Up For
Las Vegas, Nevada, is known for its thrilling entertainment, from casinos to high-flying rides. And one of the most adrenaline-pumping attractions in town is the Big Shot, located in the Stratosphere Casino Tower. This ride drops guests 160 feet from the ground in a vertical launch, making it an experience like no other.
While it may seem unsafe, many brave souls have tried and survived the Big Shot. But for these four friends captured in the photo, once was enough. They might need some time to recover before considering another go on this extreme ride. Thankfully, there’s still plenty to see and do in this exciting city.
