Joan Rivers Accosts Nicole Kidman Over Her Dress – Oscars, 1997
The late Joan Rivers was a renowned Comedian and TV host. She was also pretty controversial and wasn’t afraid to direct thorny questions to celebrities she felt had made bad choices. One such incident happened at the Oscars in 1997, and needless to say, she just wouldn’t let it slide.
She took exception to Nicole Kidman wearing a green dress. She shouted at Kidman, who passed her by, and asked why she was wearing such an ugly dress. Kidman ignored her, and, not satisfied with the outcome; Rivers shouted that she hated the color and that it would make her throw up. Thankfully she didn’t.
