Genet Rides Buffalo: An Unusual Encounter
At first glance, a genet riding a buffalo would look cute, wouldn’t it? But something about the glowing eyes of the creatures lurking in the darkness would make us uneasy. This yellow-eyed feline was spotted hitching rides on a buffalo and, on a different night, the same buffalo, and even on a rhino.
Why was it riding these animals? We can only guess. Volunteers at a South African nature reserve were perplexed by this odd behavior. Was the genet up to no good? Maybe it was just taking a joyride? Whatever the reason, it’s clear that this cat-like carnivore is one brave little creature.
