Lester Hayes | Born In 1955, American Football Player
It’s been a while since the American former professional football player Lester Hayes made it into the news. Make no mistake, though: this Oakland / Los Angeles Raiders icon is still alive and rightfully enjoying his golden years. Inducted into the PFRA Hall of Very Good Class in 2012, Hayes also made it to the NFL 1980s All-Decade Team.
Nicknamed “The Judge” for his authoritative presence on the field, Hayes spent his entire NFL career playing for the Oakland / Los Angeles Raiders. He won the Super Bowl on two occasions and was named the NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 1980.
