Best known for playing Diane Chambers’s role in the comedy series Cheers, Shelley Long became a household name early on in her career. For this role, the actress received five Emmy nominations and even won one. Given the euphoria around her, Long was a big deal back in the day.
It was in the 80s that she peaked by starring in several high-profile films. As for her recent roles, Shelley made a brief appearance in the ABC sitcom Modern Family and, yet again, stole the show! She also has an upcoming movie lined up titled The Cleaner.
