Celebrities You Thought Were Gone But Are Still Alive!

Kristy McNichol, 60 Years Old

Kristy McNichol’s name is familiar to TV fans of the 1970s, especially teenagers.  The actress is considered one of the teen idols of that decade.  Her big break came through the television drama, Family, where she played Buddy Lawrence.  However, the ‘vehicle’ that catapulted her to fame was the 80s movie, Little Darlings, where she starred alongside Tatum O’Neal and Matt Dillon.

Sadly, like other Hollywood teen stars, McNichol encountered problems such as substance abuse and mental health issues.  When she was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder, the actress decided to retire from Hollywood.  Retirement was good for McNichol, and she was able to turn her life around.  She proudly came out in 2012, and she’s currently working as a private school acting teacher.

Shaun Cassidy | Born in 1958, American Gothic

Not many know that Shaun Paul Cassidy is a Hollywood legacy. Yes, he’s produced shows like “American Gothic” and “Invasion,” and it’s also true that he signed a recording contract with Warner Bros in high school. But he’s also the son of Academy Award-winning actress Shirley Jones and his father is Jack Cassidy.

Even if Shaun had gotten a leg in thanks to his parent’s influence, his rise to the top has been nothing but a singular effort. And after adding recording artist and actor to his skillset, he returned to the stage in 2021 with the one-person show “The Magic of a Midnight Sky.”
