Annette Warren | Born In 1922, Rooty Toot Toot
American jazz star Annette Warren must have been grateful when Phil Moore discovered her in 1945, took her under his wing, and arranged for her first recordings. Her perfectly pitched voice saw her become a sought-after vocalist and dub stars like Ava Gardner and Lucille Ball in the musical films ‘Show Boat’ and ‘Fancy Pants.’
Warren worked with labels such as Capitol Records and ABC Paramount Records and made TV appearances in films like ‘Midnight Frolics’ and ‘The Devil’s Sleep’ as well. Her 2016 album ‘I Ain’t Done Yet’ is proof that she is indeed not done yet. She has extended her hand to coaching jazz musician Lyn Stanley and performs regularly in Hollywood clubs.
