Away from the spotlight, he enjoys a harmonious life with his wife, furniture restorer, and publisher Catherine Myrie. While working in the publishing field, she met Clive in a 1992 London launch about Swiss cheeses. Sparks flew from there, and they walked the aisle in 1998.
