Óscar Gutiérrez, or Rey Mysterio as he’s popularly known, is one of the most influential wrestlers of all time. He’s also played a pivotal role in popularizing cruiserweight wrestling. And if that term is a bit confusing, ‘light heavyweight or junior heavyweight wrestling’ should be more your speed.
Mysterio made his WWE debut in 2002, winning his first match against Chavo Guerrero. And after a brief hiatus where he explored other avenues, he returned to WWE in 2018 after signing a new contract. Also, in 2021, Mysterio was drafted to the “Raw” brand, and in 2022, we saw him in a Royal Rumble match. He’s said to be worth $10 million.
