The Daily Telegraph has dubbed Poland’s fans the wildest at the 2018 FIFA World Cup, getting them a fine of 10k Swiss francs from the Polish soccer association for their behavior. Still, that did not stop the Polish supporters from backing their team to a one-nil win over Japan. In 1974, Poland ranked as high as third in the World Cup, replicating the same accomplishment in 1982.
The Poland national soccer team also ranked 20th in the 2018 FIFA men’s ranking, a placement it relinquished for 19th just a year later. By October 2022, Poland has seen itself ranking 26th.
