Shakur then goes on to tell us about how poverty made Brenda go down a dark path. Being able to pay rent was life or death, and she had no hope of surviving on the streets with a baby in hand. Brenda had no choice but to sell her body for money. After all, she needed a place to stay; something had to pay the bills.
The torment wouldn’t end for her, and the constant barrage of new faces led her to a man who would eventually lead to her death. Estranged from her family, Brenda had nowhere to turn to and inevitably fell victim to an unfortunate demise.
