These Jaw-Dropping Drone Photos Prove the Efficiency of a Bird’s Eye View

Colorful Harvest

Jcourtial’s drone photograph of the first harvest of a lavender field in Provence, France, won first prize in the Nature category at the Dronestagram contest. The photographer revealed that capturing the shot required a lot of patience, as they had to wait until the farmer was ready to start harvesting with his tractor.

Lavender is not only fragrant but also possesses antifungal and antibacterial properties. A 2009 study conducted at the University of Coimbra in Portugal demonstrated that lavender essential oil effectively stopped the growth of six different strains of bacteria. We can conclude that the lavender industry is profitable, and this farmer didn’t suffer any losses.
