These Jaw-Dropping Drone Photos Prove the Efficiency of a Bird’s Eye View
Hippo Contest
Martin Sanchez’s drone photo, “Hungry Hippos,” was taken during his visit to Tanzania and unexpectedly won first place in the 2018 Dronestagram contest. The photo captures hippos seemingly having fun while bathing, with no sign of cannibalism.
Hippos are herbivores and can hold their breath for up to five minutes while submerged in water. The photo depicts their typical behavior of lounging in mud or water and feeding on plants, grass, fruit, and other vegetation. It also showcases the beauty of wildlife and the power of drone photography to capture unique perspectives and serves as a reminder of the importance of preserving natural habitats and the creatures that inhabit them.
