Julio Jones plays as wide receiver for the Atlanta Falcons and was a first-round draft pick back in 2011. The money he’s earned with the NFL has landed him some exciting toys, like the Ferrari he bought as part of a matching pair with former teammate Roddy White. Jones has also made real estate investments, including an Atlanta-area home worth $1.25 million. The sprawling mansion boasts features like a tennis court, a 2-bedroom guest house, a home gym, an entertainment room and heated floors.

Ryan Tannehill – Fort Lauderdale Mansion, $4.3 Million

Texas-born Ryan Tannehill moved across the Gulf of Mexico to play quarterback for the Miami Dolphins. With a $96 million contract extension in 2015, Tannehill settled down in South Florida for good, acquiring a modern, 4-bedroom home in Fort Lauderdale for a reported $4.3 million. The 5,500-square-foot property includes a free-standing guest house, a pool, and a home gym. If Tannehill wants to start investing in luxury cars, though, he’ll have to watch out for high car insurance payments, as his wife Lauren made headlines in 2014 when she forgot to remove an AR-15 rifle before returning a rental car.

Richard Sherman – Seattle Mansion,$2.3 Million

Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman was at one point the highest-paid player in the NFL, with a $57 million contract extension and a prominent video game endorsement in 2014. Sherman has spent some of that cash on a $2.3 million mansion in suburban Maple Valley, Washington. The estate has an indoor pool, a hot tub, a billiards room and two fireplaces. And although Sherman’s bank account can certainly handle the mortgage payments, let’s hope that the star isn’t financially penalized or suspended due to another incident like his positive 2013 drug test for Adderall.

Tony Romo –Dallas Estate, $9 Million

Although he’s retired now, quarterback Tony Romo had an impressive career with the Dallas Cowboys, despite never having reached the Super Bowl. Romo kept his nose clean during his time with the NFL and reportedly even threw himself an alcohol-free bachelor party. His career earnings of about $90 million are sure to purchase the player some comfort in retirement – he spent $3 million on a piece of property in Dallas and invested a further $6 million on renovations, which include an outdoor entertainment area, three fireplaces, and a spa.

DeMarcus Ware – Denver Townhouse, $1.3 Million

Although he recently retired from playing for the Denver Broncos, former defensive end and linebacker DeMarcus Ware has made his home in the mile-high city. DeMarcus recently traded a six-bedroom mansion in Dallas for a townhouse in Denver’s Cherry Creek North. He reportedly side-stepped a mortgage by paying for the $1.3 million home outright in cash. Ware is also a NASCAR fan and with a net worth of about $38 million, he won’t need to rearrange his retirement planning to finance any flashy sports cars of his own.

Rob Gronkowski –Boston Penthouse, $2.2 Million

Rob Gronkowski (a.k.a. “Gronk”) has earned quite a reputation as a party boy in his time as a tight end with the New England Patriots. Although Gronk is frequently spotted drinking alcohol at clubs in the off-season, he claims that his recreational activities only make him play harder when the time comes. In any case, his extracurricular activities haven’t impacted Rob’s earnings from contracts and endorsements. Gronk’s hefty bank account has landed him a $2.2 million Boston penthouse that includes a private roof deck, a spiral staircase, and two parking spaces.
