The photo on the right symbolizes Mel Gibson’s tumultuous mid to late 00’s period that saw his career and personal life come apart. It all started with an antisemitic rant he made while being arrested for DUI in July 2006.
He was vilified for his rant, his wife Robyn Moore left him, and he didn’t work on anything for four years. But Gibson is hard to keep down and came back strong, showing off his directing skills with the oscar-nominated 2017 film Hacksaw Ridge. He has plans for another Hacksaw Ridge type film called Destroyer and a planned sequel to The Passion Of The Christ.
