Melanie Griffith and Dakota Johnson Have a Mother-Daughter Moment – Oscars, 2015

It’s very seldom, extremely seldom, that a child has as much success in the acting industry as their parent. That is especially the case when a said parent is a legend like Malanie Griffith. But Dakota Johnson has done an excellent job of making a name for herself despite her mother’s profile.

This was all thanks to her role in “Fifty Shades of Grey,” which, ironically, her mother never saw and didn’t want to see. The question came up again on the Oscars 2015 red carpet, with Griffith still adamant she didn’t want to see it. Johnson eventually snapped at her mom, saying, “Alright! You don’t have to see it!”
