Gestern Stars, Heute noch VIPs: Die Zeit scheint für diese Promis still zu stehen
Catherine Thalbach, 1956, Berlin
If acting is not just a job, but a passion and purpose in life, there is a risk that you “want to die on stage,” said Thalbach in an interview, who, even after 60 years of career, is not looking for the applause or recognition of the audience, but personal satisfaction. And though the years have passed, she has remained the same, with the same bravado and talent as in her early days as an actress, director and voice actress with ‘Judged by Night’ (1960), which was followed by no fewer than 177 films. In 2022 she will take part as “Poirot” in the play “Mord im Orientexpress”, to which she will also accompany the cabaret “Love in Times of Hatred” in Berlin.
