These NFL Players’ Houses Leave Us With No Words

Jason Taylor – Santa Fe Residence, $3.6 Million

A retired defensive end and a former Dancing with the Stars cast, Jason Taylor plunked down approximately $3.6 million for this dream house in Rancho Santa Fe back in 2006. The 10,247-square-foot property, that sits on an acre of land, boasts seven bedrooms, eight bathrooms, as well as a home theater, fish aquarium, wine cellar, and a library. There is also a game room, cigar and poker room, and a swimming pool complete with a cabana. However, it seems like Taylor got sick and tired of huge home insurance bills, as he decided to let go of this waterfront pad in 2017 for $3.2 million. He obviously didn’t mind the $400K loss from his property investment.

Lance Briggs – Arizona,  $2.699 Million

Lance Briggs played for the Chicago Bears for the entire 12 years of his NFL career. Briggs retired in 2015 after declaring on several occasions back in 2007 that he wasn’t happy with the Bears as an organization and his income at the time. That didn’t stop him from making sizeable purchases during his career, so he bought a mansion in Arizona for $3.4 million. However, he later listed the 6,795-square-foot mansion for $2.699 million which was essentially a loss. Briggs had two of his houses go on foreclosure in 2017.
